Schools and their employees have a special relationship with their students and must act to protect them from foreseeable harm from their employees, other students, and third parties. This is especially true when the student is vulnerable because they have special needs, or because the school has been on notice of prior bullying, harassment, or other threats. School districts are also responsible if their employees cause a student harm because the employee should never have been hired or because they lacked training or supervision.
Because of our specific experience with children with disabilities, we are particularly skilled at providing representation to children who may not be able to express themselves, or who have pre-existing conditions only to have their conditions exacerbated by the trauma they experienced at school. These cases require an attorney that understands the medical and psychological issues, while at the same time navigate the complex administrative and statutory rights that are afforded to the child with a disability for the purposes of obtaining monetary damages for their injuries.
