Meet Bonnie

Bonnie Yates is an expert in autism cases and a zealous advocate that provides counsel to clients through all stages of life, from early intervention, school based services, and transition to adulthood. Bonnie also has extensive experience in working with non-public agencies.

Bonnie is a graduate of Loyola Law School and was admitted to practice law in California in 1984. Ms. Yates’ early career focused on criminal defense law with an emphasis on juvenile practice. Ms. Yates conducted approximately 25 criminal and juvenile trials in these years. Later, as a contract deputy city attorney in the cities of Huntington Park and Santa Fe Springs, she was trained in civil, administrative and governmental law.

In 1994, Ms. Yates “special education” began when her four-year-old son was diagnosed with autism. Since that time, Ms. Yates has worked with hundreds of families in securing services for families in Northern and Southern California from both school districts and the regional centers.
